It was my birthday, and I was on some late-night talk show with my taking pet snake Sandoval.
The crew were excited to meet him and the first guy called him Sandoval then san-DOH-vull like the prison announcer on Johnny Cash’s Folsom album.
I was trying to get Sandoval to show the host how quickly he could strike and used a Tylenol bottle as a target. Sandoval didn’t get what we were trying to do and when we said “Go!” he opened the childproof cap with his fangs.
The host then said that we had nothing left to talk about, and we hung out in silence.

This is a fun one – a song you listen to when you’re angry. First, of course, I consulted my “Anger” playlist. There I found just what I was thinking. ALL OF ANI DIFRANCO’S DILATE. Seriously, it is the best angry album. It’s multiple kinds of anger too, break-up anger, watching-your-friends-sell-out anger, anti-capitalist anger, general-frustrations-with-life aka angsty anger. It’s phenomenal. So how can I choose just one from that album? Maybe I should keep going down the list. Tales of a Scorched Earth is suuuuuuccccchhhh a good angry song. There is so much yelling. Lots and lots and lots of yelling. Where Dilate is whip smart and has beautiful mood and lyrical crescendos and decrescendos, Tales of a Scorched Earth starts angry, sustains the anger, and ends angry. Whew buddy. I’ve belted that one out more than once.
Since yesterday was so intensely Pumpkins-heavy, I think I’m going to go with Ani on this one. And no, I’m not going with Untouchable Face. That song makes me giggle. This one, this one right here, is the one:
Ok fine, here are some others. Twist my arm . . .
This is one of my faves:

This is a fun cutesy angry song. Yes, there is such a thing.
There was an official video on YouTube, but it was edited which totally detracted from the anger. Part of the reason I love it so much is the relish with which they sling the allegedly-obscene word.
Oh, and just so you know, I’m too plush for your pathetic digs.
Sometimes when I’m angry I go to my “feel better fast” playlist which includes tracks that others find unconventional. My friends just aren’t sure why The Kneeling Drunkard’s Plea peps me up – because it’s peppy?
And finally, this one is on BOTH my anger mix AND my feel better fast mix.
